What Clare plans to bring to the role of Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner

In the early 2000’s, Clare worked alongside service improvement organisations assisting local authorities to address the findings and improvements required by government inspections. During this time, Clare was also responsible for the writing and delivery of the Race, Gender and Disability equality schemes for Corby Borough Council, which she did in close partnership with the community safety team and the community. Clare was also instrumental in the delivery of initiatives to promote community cohesion and combating hate crime. Since then, Clare has worked on a number of projects to improve digital inclusion and online safety. More recently, Clare was the manager of a business intelligence team who worked to improve local government services and quick responsive access to them.

Feeling safe and secure to live life and plan for the future is a fundamental right we should all enjoy. As your Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner I will ensure you have that right.

Clare Pavitt – Labour and Co-operative Candidate.

Clare and her family have lived in Northamptonshire for 27 years and they love the beauty and diversity it offers. Like many of you, Clare is a very proud parent but also like many people the job of parent didn’t come without its challenges. Juggling bringing up a child with a full-time career, navigating the education system and keeping her daughter healthy, safe and free from harm whilst running a home on a tight budget are all life challenges Clare is all too familiar with.

As well as being Mum, Clare has volunteered with many youth organisations including being a school governor, football teams and the Air Cadets. She is driven by her passion and commitment to ensuring all children and young people get both the right support and opportunities to be the best version of themself.
